About Big Fright

Born in Bristol with South African roots, BIG FRIGHT is a genre-bending punk outfit fronted by expat duo Louwkie and Sandy, part-time lovers, full-time bin-fire starters. Formed in 2024 from the question “what if Fleetwood Mac wrote creepy punk songs?”, the band fuses feminist narratives with anti-establishment grit, trading male and female vocals over snarling garage hooks.
Think Pixies with indigestion, Wet Leg but meaner, or Fugazi with more estrogen. Music for the kids who never went to Sunday school.
